Tara and I just arrived at the Sheraton Iguazu. It's amazing, our room over looks the falls. So far we've spent the day at the pool and had a really nice Hamburgesa con Jamon! Tara loves Jamon on her hambergesas.
Anyway, the sun is hot and the Quilmes is luke warm, but it looks like this will be a good time. I need to finish some work today, so that we can start the enjoyment ;-)
I'll post some pictures probably after the weekend.

I'm tired
Yes, it's true. I'm tired. I'm sore. I've been working to much.
Last night I played Futbol with Alejandro and some of his buddies. I haven't done an althetic movement since I got here and then I went out and ran around for an hour...without a break!
It was tons of fun. I tried to have some form of ball control, but I was a mess. I tried to play more agressive, but I didn't know what that meant. However, I scored the first goal of the night and shortly after that I trip myself on the ball and took an awesome tumble. I fell one more time when I got in a battle for a ball.
I missed a couple of awesome crossing passes that would have been sure goals for any Argentino, but for me I simply wiffed or barely knicked the ball. It was said, but they guys told me I was much better than they expected. I think my key was defensively, I never got really beat...and when I had the ball I was trying to make the right passes, I just couldn't seem to make good passes.
Tons of fun though.

I'm in Kansas????
Tuesday night I went out to dinner with Alejandro and his friend Andy. They took me to a very nice resurante called...."Kansas". I thought that was funny at first, why name it Kansas? Anyway, the food was very good it was supposed to be like american style, with extra big portions and different styles of cooking then what you typically get here. I got the BBQ Pork Chop..which was very good.
And to complete the American feel of the resturant it comes complete with "Hurried" service. You know how the waiter gently hints that he would like you to go because there are other people he would like to have at the table...yeah that happened. You typically don't get that here, you have to ask the waiter for your check and they will wait patiently for you. All in all Kansas was pretty good.

Jajajajaja...
As you may know much of my communication at work is over IM (for the old people this is Instant Messenger...its realtime chating). Anyway, there are many short cuts that are used when talking to one another for instance... when you want to say something is funny you type "lol" which stands for Laughing Out Loud or you type "Hahahahaha" which is like laughter...easy right?
Well, the first week I was here I was a little confused by a message or 2 that I recieved from a local it was "jajajajajaja" now my reading that I thought it was weird, but in the context it would have be laughter. A few days later I had an apiphiny...In spanish the "j" is pronounced like our "h", so for the spanish speaking community "jajajajaja" makes perfect sense as laughter.
I thought that was a neat little tid bit.

McDowells Delivers!
The project is coming to a very tense point in its development. We're coming up on our timeline and there is still a ton of stuff to do. To keep up team moral we have decided to order some lunch in for the team...what do we order? McDonalds...and for delivery. Lol...it cracks me up a little bit.
So, I had a discussion over my Doble Cuarto de Libre con Queso with the team about the delivery of McD's and how i thought that was funny and I had to eat McD's because it was delivery...oh and I also got attacked by the team members when I asked for "sin queso" lol. Anyway, they were amazed that you couldn't order from any of the fast food chains in the US.
Which we then proceeded to dicussion what you could get delivered and you can get pretty much anything. I actually saw a waiter crossing the street with a tray that had one cup of coffee on it. I thought it was something weird at the time, but they informed me today that this was possible....a single cup of coffee. The team knowing my love of Starbucks suggested that I order starbucks for delivery.
Oh and you can order a liter of coke or water or whatever...need a bag of chips to go with that...order it. If only I could "hablar" enough spanish to place such an order....i guess in time...hopefully.
